sometime last week one of my favorite regulars came into work, and he seemed a bit down. I ask if he went on vacation because he looked a lot more tan than usual and I hadn’t seen him in over a month. he laughed and said no, that he’s been helping out his buddy working on houses, anything from tiling in the kitchen to changing the water in a pond outside, just to make some money. you see, this guy is a struggling solo artist who was trying to make a website where you could pay to download his music while giving 50%> of the proceeds to a charity of your choice. he wasn’t making much money. now he was facing moving to a cheaper area and giving up his dreams. I gave him his drink for free in hopes that he’d keep coming back to check in with me about how he was doing. I haven’t seen him since, and I don’t know why I keep thinking about this.
Just tyler, he’s fucking dope for what he’s accomplished at such a young age. His childhood wasn’t the best, and he was made fun of in school, I can relate to him on some levels. He brings a lot to light in his lyrics about therapy and the shit he has to deal with. I feel like to many people take him too seriously with his lyrics, he’s just a kid joking around. And so what if he’s becoming mainstream, good for him. And the others, they deserve respect but they would be nothing without tyler.
this video is taking forever and a day to process
